Richa Wahi, the proprietor of Word Munchers, has a post graduate degree in Teaching and Practice of Creative Writing from Cardiff University, a post-graduate diploma in Advertising and Marketing from Xavier’s Institute of communication and a post-graduate certificate in copywriting from Mudra Institute of Communication. She received grants from the prestigious Charles Wallace India Trust and British Council’s Hammond Trust while pursuing her higher education in Cardiff.
Richa has worked with children and adults on diverse writing projects. Her experience in schools and in communication consultancies has given her the opportunity to design bespoke creative writing solutions as per the need of the hour. Her freelance work at British Council from 2006 – 2018 has enabled her to conduct training with teachers, students and corporates in Kolkata as well as in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Shillong, Raipur, Ranchi, Guwahati, Silliguri, Bokaro, Bhubaneswar and Nasik.
Richa is passionate about reading and travelling and has several stories and poems
published in anthologies in India and abroad.
Word Munchers works with a group of freelancers based in India and abroad, each
specialising in different areas of language development. Depending on the nature of the project and
the freelancer’s key skills, the project is matched with the trainer and executed as per the
creative and high quality standards of our organisation.
Word Munchers Teachers
A high school teacher with a penchant for creative writing, Papia Ghosh is an avid reader who is passionate about poetry. A through professional armed with loads of experience in creating company profiles and editing essays and stories, she can help with writing college essays which play a decisive role in the admission process. Currently she is working as senior teacher at Word Munchers.
Anusha Jalan, ex-student of Modern High School For Girls, graduated from Calcutta University, is a certified Montessori teacher and has completed her TTC training from Loreto College. She has been a teacher at reputed institutes and has teaching experience of 4 years and is currently a faculty member at Birla High School for Boys. Currently she is also working as assistant teacher at Word Munchers.
Nilova Bose has completed her graduation and masters in English from Calcutta University. She is currently working as a teacher at Bodhi Bhavans Collegiate School. Besides teaching, she also takes a keen interest in writing, and has 5 years of experience as a freelancer and content writer. Currently she is also working as assistant teacher at Word Munchers.
Word Munchers Junior
Neetika Swarup is Montessori trained and creatively inclined. She is the content head of Word Munchers Junior and is in-charge of curriculum development and supervises the execution of classes at various centres.
Moniza Riaz has a post graduate qualification in Home Science Honours with a specialisation in Human Development from Calcutta University and a diploma in Early Childhood Education with a specialisation in the Montessori Method of Education. She has taught for 2 years at Busy Ants Montessori and for 5 years at Advantage APM, Academy Of Progressive Montessori. Currently she is working with Word Munchers Junior.
Dimple ma’am is an Honours graduate from Lady Keane College Shillong and has completed her Montessori course from Indian Montessori Centre. She has also done a MACE course at Modern High. An experienced teacher, Dimple Ma’am has taught at Kinddled Heart Montessori House for three and half years, Young Learners for a year and is currently teaching at Indus Valley World School of which she has been a part since last eleven years. Currently she is also working with Word Munchers Junior.
Sreyashi Roy, ex-student of Mahadevi Birla World Academy, graduate from Calcutta University, is a certified Montessori teacher and has completed her B.Ed training from WBUTTEPA. She has worked as a primary school teacher at The Heritage School and is currently working at Indus Valley World School. She is passionate about reading, travelling and working with kids. Currently she is also working with Word Munchers Junior.
Varuni Kanodia has done her bachelor’s degree in commerce and a Montessori course along with it and has taught at Busy Ants Montessori.Currently she is working with Word Munchers Junior.
Shweta Vora Sachdeva
Shweta Vora Sachdeva is the content head for a children portal, ‘The Ultimate Knowledge’. She also provides content for the Tata Group on a contractual basis. Shweta has trained for British Council’s “Reading Challenge” programme, and is a certified IELTS
trainer. She takes ‘reading comprehension’ classes for CAT, BBA and CLAT students at the Career
Launcher. Shweta has authored a children’s short story book, “A Fantastic Journey”.
An experienced educator, Ms Debbie Das has been in the teaching profession for over two decades. She enjoys creative work with students and helps them to think out of the box. An author and a workshop facilitator, she conducts sessions in speech and drama and language activites for British Council and for Harper Collins.
A dedicated professional with over 14 years of work experience in the education and training sector with leading Institutes for professional development as a full time and part time faculty. Trained in ELT at the English and Foreign Language University, Hyderabad. Core competencies are in imparting training in public speaking, presentation skills, pronunciation and other areas of communication.
A Marketing specialist from Singapore Management University, Kritika has worked in the field of Branding across top MNCs in Singapore and in India. She is currently working as an Education Mentor to assist school and college students with academic and career decisions. A TEDx Speaker herself, she conducts workshops to help teenagers and adults enhance their confidence, personality and communication skills.
A high school English teacher trained in the various fields of didactics to integrate listening, speaking, reading and writing along with its nuances, she has diverse experience and a strong track record fostering child-centric curriculum and student creativity. Participated in the event ‘Blended Learning in the Post-Lockdown Classroom’ by Nik Peachey UK. A content writer, with a passion for art, an ardent reader and film buff ,with twenty years of teaching experience, she has moderated debate sessions, taught and presided over choral and solo recitation, public speaking, declamation and beauty pageants to name a few. Thoroughly enjoys working with children and encourages creative expression.
